RSFT Finance Policy

Assalam-o-Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

1. Payment Policy

• NO PROCESSING FEES — SERVING HUMANITY WITH DIGNITY

Rafat Sajjad Falahi Trust (RSFT) does not charge any processing fee, platform fee, or contract fee on donor contributions. Every rupee donated is directed toward beneficiaries in line with the Trust’s mission of education, skill development, livelihood, healthcare and holistic social support.

• Payment Gateway Charges

The Payment Gateway used for donation on the platform, deducts on an average 2% fees including GST, on each donation before it reaches to us. Hence the beneficiary gets the total fund minus this fee. These charges are applied by the payment service provider and are beyond the Trust’s control. We encourage donors to use direct bank transfers wherever possible to avoid these deductions.

• Support for Operational Expenses

Costs for IT systems, maintaining the donation processing infrastructure, vendor services, and administrative coordination are funded by designated institutional support and specific voluntary contributions approved by the Board of Trustees. Regular program donations are not used for general administrative expenses.

• Currency & Eligibility

RSFT accepts donations in INR, from Indian nationals only and only from bank accounts within India. RSFT does not accept any fund from any other nationalities’ bank accounts or cards.

• Anonymous Donations

Donors may choose to donate anonymously by selecting the “Make Anonymous Donation” option during the donation process.

• Purpose-Driven Donations

All funds received are used strictly for charitable purposes aligned with RSFT’s defined focus areas. Donors should review and understand the cause or campaign before contributing.

2. Refund Policy

• Finality of Donations
All donations made to RSFT are considered final and non-refundable once received.

• Exceptional Refund Consideration
RSFT may, at its sole discretion, consider refunds only in the following extraordinary scenario:

• If, after verification and approval, a cause is found to be fraudulent or seriously misrepresented, and no disbursement has been made to beneficiaries.

In such cases, RSFT may contact individual donors to either:
• Refund the donation to the original donor, or
• Redirect the donation to another verified and approved cause, based on the donor’s preference.

• Processing Time
If a refund is approved, it will be credited back to the original mode of payment within 12–15 business days from initiation.

IMPORTANT POINTS

1. Unclaimed Funds
• RSFT may raise funds for specific beneficiaries or initiatives.
• If a beneficiary does not claim the funds within a reasonable period (e.g., 90 days after approval), RSFT will attempt repeated contact via call, message, and email.
• If there is no response, the amount will be treated as Unclaimed Funds after a total period of 180 days (6 months).
• Unclaimed funds will be re-allocated to other causes within the same support category (e.g., education, skills, livelihoods).
• RSFT will maintain transparency by reporting unclaimed funds and their re-utilization status periodically.

2. Surplus Amount

• “Surplus amount” refers to funds raised beyond the stated requirement for a cause or campaign.
• Such surplus funds will be allocated to RSFT’s Designated Surplus Fund and used for other approved programs in education, skill development, or livelihood support.
• Surplus funds will not be diverted toward general administrative expenses unless explicitly approved by the Board of Trustees and communicated to stakeholders.

3. Large Donations & Direct Transfers

• For large contributions, donors are encouraged to use direct bank transfers. This minimizes payment gateway deductions and ensures maximum impact of the contribution for the intended cause.

5. Transparency & Reporting

• All donations and disbursements will be documented.
• Regular financial reports will be published annually.
• Impact reporting (e.g., number of students supported, skills programs funded, livelihoods enabled) will be shared with stakeholders.
